Defeat the Claw of Jormag is a level 80 event in Frostwalk Tundra. It is the last event in Breaking the Claw of Jormag where players face down the Claw of Jormag. Upon the dragon's defeat, the Frost Chest will spawn for players.

There are two phases to the event. The first takes place on a hill shortly after the last crystal is destroyed in the relevant pre-events and requires destroying the dragon's ice wall in order to reach it. Periodically, the dragon will fly up into the sky to maneuver, only to return to the hill and setup a new ice wall. The second phase begins after the Claw is reduced beyond 50% health, attempts to escape, and is shot down. On this occasion, instead of landing, the dragon crashes to the hill, and then bounces some distance to the west. (Standing where the dragon crash-lands, and getting killed, will reward you with the Crash Landing achievement.)

Phase 1

During the first half of the event, the Claw will summon an ice wall to protect itself. Players attacking the dragon with the wall up will receive stacks of chill and damage that can quickly kill. Destroy the wall to stun the dragon and use this 15-second window to attack it. After recovering, process will repeat itself until the dragon is between 25% and 50% health.

During this phase, characters have access to two environmental weapons: Pact Bazooka and Pact Explosives. The bazooka gives the player a very-long-range attack that allows them to hit the ice wall out of much of the danger. Players can use the explosives to dash to the wall and set charges. Each weapon has a fiery shield that protects from fear.

During this time, the dragon has several attacks: large shards to rain down on players, waves of spikes to knock back players, and a roar that fears. In addition, the dragon will attack the cannon line with Icebrood Elementals and other adds. These adds die once the wall is down.

Phase 2

At this point, Pact forces will blast the dragon out of the sky and it will drop down some distance to the west. During this phase, the Pact will send explosive golems to attack the dragon. Help the golems reach the Claw by destroying Ice Pillars that pop up to block their way, chill, and destroy nearby allies. You can also target the dragon using ranged or melee weapons. The ground around the dragon is covered in dark blue ice. When the dragon is not stunned, players within this area gain stacks of Frozen Ground, quickly draining their health. Skills with a range of 1500 can hit the dragon while remaining outside the range of the frozen ground.

The area outside of the frozen ground has two ledges that Veteran Icebrood Elementals spawn on and attack players and golems. In addition, Icebrood Wolves and Icebrood Maulers spawn and attack players; some of the spawns are veterans and champions.
