Svanir

Svanir was a norn who, in 1078 AE, was corrupted by the Elder Dragon Jormag's champion Drakkar when he lead a hunting party across the ice of Drakkar Lake, in which the champion was encased. Svanir called upon this unnamed force, and Drakkar used Jormag's power to transform Svanir permanently into the Nornbear, the new champion of Jormag. Svanir's sister, Jora, was affected as well; she was unable to "become the bear" until she had slain her brother.

As a norn who embraced the power of Jormag (however naively), norn who consider the Elder Dragon a Spirit of the Wild formed the Sons of Svanir to promote this end.
