Logan and Rytlock are fighting at the Citadel of Flame
Hail, mighty hero!
We have received news on the northeastern battle front, Gaheron Baelfire, the leader of the renegade Flame Legion charr, has been driven back to the gates of his headquarters at the Citadel of Flame. A combined military force effort of the Vigil, Durmand Priory, and the Order of Whispers are even now struggling to breach that gate.
Both Logan Thackerary and Rytlock Brimstone have been dispatched to that front, and given the way they feel about each other, I think they'll need someone to keep them from killing each other. Naturally I thought of you, though I don't know what's the greater danger - Gaheron or the two former allies.
—Thanks,

Walkthrough[править]
- The Flame Citadel is the main base of the Flame Legion, the deposed former legion of the charr. It is here that Gaheron Baelfire plots to retake command of the charr and crush the humans.
- The adventurers must fight alongside the united forces of the Pact to gain the gates of the Flame Citadel.
- There, the players must contend not only with Rytlock and Logan, who threaten to gut each other, but with the leader of the Flame Legion, Gaheron Baelfire, who aspires to ascend to godhood!
- Approximately 8 helpers, will join you initially.
- You will first target two LARGE groups - there are 2 veteran level with each of the groups of about 6 each time.
Go off to the left and take out the 2 turrets first, then pull and kill the 2 veterans and 4 normals.
- All the while you MUST keep a constant lookout for the fireballs which will be flung at the group at various intervals by the end boss. Nowhere is safe.
- Rozgar The Forge
- Bladestorm whirlwind attack - extremely painful.
- On each side of him there are 2 Godforged Greatswords. Then sundry other Godforged items, they do not seem able to be destroyed. However, it was discovered that he changes weapons at intervals and gets new skills.
- Pull him out of the place he stands in for the initial bladestorm and spread apart, so that when he flings the blades about, he only tags one person if they cannot get out in time. Do not try to res people.
- Once he is dead, kill the item that is required for the Story Quest and loot chest.
- Now trundle off across to the right side - and a few more sundry groups of mobs. It should be fairly obvious that you clear ranged first.
- Bolok Firebringer
- There are 3 normals patrolling.
- His attacks are spawning more mobs, and then dropping off sundry Fire paths.
- Simply move out of the fires. Much more simple than first boss.
Follow the "Star" - more groups of mobs. More sundry adds
- Hierophant Improaster
- Summons Imps - not much else. Simple fight.
- When you have downed the boss, do NOT run out onto bridge till all are ready.
- You cross about 3 bridges, and run into some ouchy mobs. Especially the flamethrower.
- One small group of mobs, simple to take out.
- Flame Legion Effigy
- Burns nearby foes, Buffs allies. The burn is applied via a huge red circle about himself.
- The Ranger skill Entangle is highly efficient at keeping the Effigy immobilized as his attacks does not attack the binding roots.
- There are two sets of 3 Acolytes in the back of the room. When the effigy reaches around 70% health the immunity bubble around them will drop while they heal the effigy. Use this opportunity to kill them (they do not appear to respawn).
- After the acolytes are dealt with you are free to kill the boss.
- Gaheron Baelfire
- He will roll flaming boulders at the bubble Logan puts over the group.
- The boulders break apart, leaving behind "Molten Heart" objects which must be thrown at Gaheron to damage him.
- While holding the Molten Heart you will take constant damage.
- While in his ascended form, Gaheron can't be targeted but takes damage from AoE attacks.
- While running up to him, you have to avoid random AOE as well as the boulders he's rolling at the group, from alternating sides.
- As his health gets lower, he will start erecting flame rock walls, which must be blasted down. He erects more walls simultaneously as the fight goes on.
- At points during the fight, Gaheron will leave his ascendant form. When this happens, feel free to run up and use your normal spells and skills against him. Beware that this phase does not last long, and he'll typically raise more rock walls upon returning to his more powerful form.

- <Character Name>: What's going on?
- Rytlock Brimstone: This human thinks he can take on Gaheron Baelfire.
- Logan Thackeray: No, this charr thinks he can fight the Flame Legion by himself.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Fighting with you is the same as fighting solo.
- Logan Thackeray: And what is that supposed to mean?
- <Character Name>: Enough. Both of you gather your troops. We need everyone for this.
After the Cinematic:
- Lieutentant Marma: Glad you boys could get things settled. Let's get moving.
Into the Citadel:
- Flame Legion Igniter: They're back for more! Kill them!
- Flame Legion Fire Shaman: The first line has been broken. Defend the gate!
- Flame Legion Stalker: The front line broke formation! Prepare for an attack!
Talking to Rytlock:
- Rytlock Brimstone: I still can't believe Logan's here. We've got enough to worry about.
- What is the best way to defeat the Flame Legion?
- (??)
- Why are you mad at Logan?
- (??)
- I'm sure we can muddle through somehow.
- What is the best way to defeat the Flame Legion?
At the forward position (cinematic):
- Rytlock Brimstone: That lunatic wants to turn himself into a god.
- Logan Thackeray: Get the men to safety. I'll go forward.
- Rytlock Brimstone: I'll go. You're not needed here.
- Logan Thackeray: You think you can handle this alone? You're the lunatic here.
- <Caracter Name>: Stop arguing. We need both of you to breach the inner sanctum. There must be a way in.
- Rytlock Brimstone: The Flame Legion controls its gates with mystic braziers.
- <Caracter Name>: Then they should be nearby. Let's move.
After the cinematic:
- Logan Thackeray: Lieutentant Marma, take your people and guard our backs. We're going in!
- Lieutentant Marma: You heard the man-pull back to the entrance!
- Rytlock Brimstone: We're going to need heroes to take this thing down.
At the western brazier:
- Trazin Cinerate: Invaders! Defend the armory!
- Rozgar the Forge: Guard the brazier!
- Rozgar the Forge: This brazier will stay lit, and you will fail.
After destroying the western brazier:
- Rytlock Brimstone: This is the brazier powering the gate.
- Logan Thackeray: But the gate is still up. Ther must be another one we need to find.
At the eastern brazier:
- Bolok Firebringer: Defend the brazier with your life! Lord Gaheron must ascend!
- Bolok Firebringer: Fools. You will never defeat Lord Gaheron!
When Bolok summons more defenders:
- Bolok Firebringer: Minions! To me!
- Bolok Firebringer: Rise, minions! Protect the brazier.
- Bolok Firebringer: Minions, drive them back! Defend the brazier!
After destroying the eastern brazier:
- Logan Thackeray: That should have opened the gate to the central chamber.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Ther're not going to let us stroll through the door.
- Logan Thackeray: Then we'll just have to force our way in.
At the bridge:
- Flame Legion Lava Shaman: Hold the bridge. Burn them to ash!
- Gaheron Baelfire: (laugh) Puny mortals. You will never ascend to face me.
After the destruction of the bridge (cinematic):
- Rytlock Brimstone: Kalla gouge his eyes! He slaughters his own troops to get to us!
- Logan Thackeray: That means he's still vulnerable. He's afraid of us.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Because he knows he's about to die.
- Rytlock Brimstone: And he's right. Pick a limb and start chopping.
After the cinematic:
- Logan Thackeray: We need to find another way over.
- Rytlock Brimstone: If we stand here he'll just pelt us with fireballs. Let's see where this bridge takes us.
- Rytlock Brimstone: That was close back there. Just so you know, thanks for the save.
- Logan Thackeray: I didn't have time to think about it. And I'm sure you would do the same for me.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Hm. Don't get too ahead of yourself.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Let's just focus on finding Gaheron for now.
Approaching Hierophant Improaster:
- Flame Legion Lava Shaman: Stop them before they get any further!
- Hierophant Improaster: You shall not reach Lord Gaheron!
At the Flame Legion Effigy:
- Rytlock Brimstone: Acolytes-sacrificial fanatics for Gaheron. Seeing as they're ready to die, let's not keep them waiting.
- Rytlock Brimstone: The Acolytes are vulnerable. Dispatch them!
After defeating the effigy and the acolytes:
- Rytlock Brimstone: Gaheron would turn the legions into his mindless worshippers.
- Logan Thackeray: Then he's got to go.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Smartest thing you've said all day.
Approaching Gaheron (cinematic):
- Gaheron Baelfire: You cannot stop me from becoming a god!
- Rytlock Brimstone: The charr have no gods!
- Gaheron Baelfire: I will burn you to ash!
After the cinematic:
- Gaheron Baelfire: The god of flame cammands you to BURN!
During the fight:
- Gaheron Baelfire: A temporary inconvenience. I still have claws. (When transformed back to a charr.)
- Gaheron Baelfire: I. Am. A. God!
After defeating Gaheron:
- Gaheron Baelfire: It cannot be! I...was...a god!
Final cinematic:
- Logan Thackeray: You fought well.
- Rytlock Brimstone: As did you.
- Logan Thackeray: A long time ago I...I made a mistake. I left when I should have stayed.
- Logan Thackeray: And I spent the past five years trying to justify it.
- Logan Thackeray: I still feel like I did the right thing, but I'm sorry I left.
- Rytlock Brimstone: For all those years, I was so angry I wouldn't listen.
- Rytlock Brimstone: I understand why you did it. And I'm also sorry that you did.
- Logan Thackeray: Are we good, then?
- Rytlock Brimstone: No. But we're better. A couple of ales might help.
- Logan Thackeray: You got a deal.
Talking to Rytlock after defeating Gaheron:
- Rytlock Brimstone: We've shattered Gaheron's power, and Logan has at least apologized.
- Good to know you've forgiven him.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Forgiven? Perhaps, but not forgotten. Not yet. Let's just take this a step at a time.
- It's a good sign that you're at least talking now.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Forgiven? Perhaps, but not forgotten. Not yet. Let's just take this a step at a time.
- At least it's a start. Good luck.
- Good to know you've forgiven him.
Talking to Logan after defeating Gaheron:
- Logan Thackeray: Gaheron's dead and Rytlock's willing to talk.
- Good to know you two are friends again.
- Logan Thackeray: Let's not rush things. We're talking, but he's still stubborn and judgmental.
- It's a start, at least. Good luck.
- Logan Thackeray: Let's not rush things. We're talking, but he's still stubborn and judgmental.
- All things have a beginning. Good luck.
- Good to know you two are friends again.
