20px Guild Treks are open world guild missions where members work together to find several locations across Tyria within a 20 minute time limit. These locations are randomly chosen from a list of 180 possible locations. Guilds must find five locations for the first tier, ten for the second, and twenty for the third and final tier.

Mechanics

A guild leader triggers the trek from the influence tab of the guild panel. Guild members can view the target locations using the missions tab or share the information via chat or other means. Each location is stamped with a yellow sparkling mark that is only visible during a trek if it is one of the target locations. It can be stamped on the ground or wall. It cannot be seen by guild members that are guesting from another server. Once found, the guild member must hit F to claim the mark.

The locations do not have to be found in order, so guild members are encouraged to split up and search for the locations individually. All locations can be found in the open PvE world, although they may be found on land, underground, or even underwater. A few locations may require some jumping to reach the location, and some require the completion of a jumping puzzle.

Unlocking

The Guild Treks Unlock upgrade requires Economy level 6, costing 30000  and 10 days build time, as well as already having acquired the Guild Bounty Unlock upgrade. The Guild Treks Unlock costs 30  and 50000  and takes 1 week of research. It takes an additional 200  and 1 day of research to build any tier of a Guild Trek; you can stock up several in advance.

Unlike other guild missions, this mission does not reward individual members.

Guild rewards

Guilds that successfully complete a Trek will receive Guild Merits and Influence based on the tier that was completed. Guilds can accumulate a maximum of 10 merits per week from guild treks. Treks cannot be repeated for influence - if you have completed a tier you will not receive influence for completing that tier again in the same week.

Reward caps

• The guild can only earn merits from the highest-tier trek completed during the week, e.g. a guild completing one trek from each tier would still only earn 10 merits.

Guild members guesting from another server cannot participate in treks: they will not be able to trigger any of the markers and they will not see any of the pertinent information in the guild panel, i.e. the list of locations will be blank and there will not be a countdown timer.
