A location is a general term used in this wiki to refer to a particular area, place, or spot in a map.

There are essentially two types of locations: persistent and instanced. Persistent locations are always present and accessible by all logged-in players. Instanced locations are game areas where a player would play through it alone (or with party members). Once an instanced area is started, no other player may enter into that instance.
