Troll's End
Getting there
Start off at Canal Ward waypoint, head northeast, climb up the rocks and jump across the broken bridge up to the rocky plateau with the Trader's Forum vista ahead of you.
There is a leaning stone tower to the left of the plank to the vista - walk along the nearby beam and jump on to the tower.
Beside the pillar holding up the vista walkway is a shorter pillar. Rotate your character so that they are looking at the walkway and take a single step off the edge of the tower such that you miss the pillar and land in the well below. You will not take any falling damage if you land in the well since it is full of water.

The puzzle is split in to four parts, but the real challenge is succeeding in the third part. First, swim until you have access to fresh air. The second part will lead you to a fork, where the right path is a dead end. But if you look up in this dead end you will notice a light well above yourself and an elevated pathway made of rocks and planks. That's where you will have to go. In order to go up there, you will have to go back to the fork and take the left path. Along this path, with your eyes turned up, you will come across a slope with verdant green vegetation (left). Do not go to the very end of the tunnel - that's too far. You will have to climb the green slope using the rocks embedded in the slope along the way - the vegetation is slippery. When you reach the top, there is a path that leads you to the light well. As you look down into the light well, you should see a ledge below you (but above the start of the elevated pathway) that appears to be a bit broader on the left - jump down to that ledge (carefully) and then locate the outcropping directly below the ledge you're currently on - this is the jumping off point in order to hop over to the third part of the puzzle. Note that if you are having trouble getting down the light well, you are also able to jump straight against the opposite wall, and slide down to a ledge without dying completely. From here work your way down to the post (a post just like the one above the well at puzzle entrance), and thus to the third part. The third part starts here - from the post. And it can be really difficult as it is a very narrow path with many tricky jumps. A bit of advice as you approach the fork; the ceiling is very low, and many characters find that they constantly hit their heads here, falling to the ground below... take two steps back, and jump not from the edge of this plank, but from that backed up position. You are less likely to hit your head during the jump. If you fall, you will end up back at the second part, and you will have to reach the green slope to get back into the third part again. If you are successful you will end up at the exit of the cave, starting the fourth part. The fourth part starts at the exit of the cave. The way continues on top of ruins, and finishes on a rock structure with a Grand Chest. If you fall from this part you will have to redo the entire puzzle as this area is also directly accessible from the Western Ward Vista. Tips

Notes
- There were once two possible shortcuts to the puzzle, both of which allowed one to skip the most difficult parts. You could jump to the end of the first boardwalk found from a nearby elevated plateau or use a leap skill to the left of the board. The second required you to jump from the slippery slope area to the ledge just past the jump after the last boardwalk. These shortcuts were removed/blocked during one of the builds leading up to dragon bash, though the change was not announced.
- Note while dropping into the light well... Drop, don't jump into the well; slip off the edge that you approach from. And don't jump all the way to the bottom of the well - on your next drop, land on the balance beam.
Trivia
- The January 28th, 2013 update removed a third shortcut that allowed you to jump to the pillars that come just before the first boardwalk.
- There used to be a skeleton of a troll at the end of the puzzle and some gathering nodes, but these have been removed since February 18, 2014 due to Scarlet's attack on the city. In Troll's Revenge, Rolan's corpse is back at the end of the puzzle.
