Infused equipment

Infused equipment is an upgraded version of ascended equipment that adds an Agony Infusion slot to the offensive, defensive, or utility infusion slot found on ordinary ascended equipment. This makes it possible to amass more total agony resistance and survive deeper levels of the Fractals of the Mists. Infused items are otherwise identical to their non-infused counterparts.

Only rings and back items can be infused.

Rings can also be attuned, a similar process to infusing which likewise adds an agony infusion slot. A ring that has been both attuned and infused will have two agony infusion slots. Attuning and infusing can be performed in either order.

Acquisition

Rings

• Drop randomly from completing any boss fractal at personal reward and/or difficulty level 21 or higher.
• Upgrade a regular or attuned ascended ring in the Mystic Forge using:
  • 1  Shard of Crystallized Mists Essence
  • 3  Globs of Coagulated Mists Essence
  • 5  Vials of Condensed Mists Essence

Back items

• Upgrade a regular ascended back item in the Mystic Forge using:
  • 1  Glob of Coagulated Mists Essence
  • 1  Gift of Ascension
  • 250  Globs of Ectoplasm
• This applies to all back items except for Mawdrey (Infused).

Notes

• The upgrading process creates an entirely new item, so you will lose any existing infusions and skins on the original, non-infused gear.
