Extended Experience

The Guild Wars 2 Extended Experience refers to the ways in which ArenaNet is making the game more accessible from entertainment mediums other than the PC only. A few examples they have given include the Smartphone application that will allow someone to view the Guild Wars 2 world map, ping locations on the screen for their friends or guild members to see, and chat with people. Some of these functions will also be available on a standard computer via web-based applications.

The head of the Extended Experience team, Rick Ellis, says that ArenaNet is "committed to making our games more accessible and allowing our players to experience our game world anywhere, at any time.”
