Legendary Relic is an upcoming type of legendary equipment that, once equipped, will have the power to take on the properties of any other relic. It will be introduced in the Update 2 of the Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure expansion cycle in early 2024. Legendary Relic differs from other legendary equipment as it won't automatically include the functionality of newer relics added in future expansions. Instead, players will have to unlock each relic before being able to select it as an option in the legendary item.[1]
Players who have crafted at least one Legendary Rune before the Secrets of the Obscure Update 2 release will receive the Legendary Relic for free. After the release, it will be available for crafting similarly to other legendary items.[1]
