In The Toymaker's Airship
Before a Toy is Selected
- "Greetings, celebrator of Wintersday! Welcome to my aerial lab! Toxx is around here somewhere. If you need anything, let her know."
- Toxx?
- Will do.
- Toxx?
- "Toxx is my golem and my dearest creation. I designed her myself. Her particular circuitry has never been attempted before, but I'm confident my design is solid."
- What's all this machinery?
- I'm sure.
- What's all this machinery?
- "That's for toy production, of course. This is a toy workshop. What did you expect me to handcraft each of the hundreds of toys we produce every day?"
- What sort of toys do you make?
- I guess not.
- What sort of toys do you make?
- "Many sorts. I like to adapt my creations to local designs-not simply in concept, but in materials and style as well. My machines are quite versatile."
- So, you travel a lot?
- I see.
- So, you travel a lot?
- "Yes, when it's appropriate. Normally, my lab is docked in an undisclosed location. But if I need to travel for a special event like this one, I can simply move the entire lab."
- I see.
Ventari
During the 1st phase
- "It's absurdly difficult to keep these machines in working order! If they're not back on line shortly, my entire schedule will be thrown off!"
- What can I do?
- That's too bad. Bye.
- What can I do?
- "Oh, good. I was hoping you'd offer to help. Destroy those tar elementals, then carry their ooze back to the machines. It's quite simple."
- Then what happens?
- I'll see what I can do.
- Then what happens?
- "Then my machine should return to fully operational status, and I can deliver on my promises. I've got toys to deliver and no time to waste."
- I'm on it.
During the 2nd phase
- "Those grubby skritt intruders are mucking around with my carefully calibrated machinery. Please remove them! Expediently! Or we'll have a catastrophic meltdown. Of some sort."
- Could they really do that much damage?
- Got it.
- Could they really do that much damage?
- "My friend, I never exaggerate. My process here is a fine-tuned machine of fine-tuned machines. The slightest difficulty, and the entire schedule is bunk. I implore you, please resolve this."
- I'm on it.
During the 3rd phase
- "More skritt! Don't they have better things to do than harass my toys? I'm sure there are more valuable figurines elsewhere."
- What's the problem?
- Seems they want yours. Good luck.
- What's the problem?
- "The Ventari toys were created with a drive to grow plants, but skritt are stealing the plant food necessary for the process."
- I'll see what I can do.
During the 4th phase
- "Oh, hmm, that's unexpected. The Ventaris' alumination matrix is overcompensating for their passivity and creating malfunctioning turrets."
- Is that dangerous?
- Got it.
- Is that dangerous?
- "Undoubtedly. The turrets themselves are rogue weapons, and additionally, they've turned the toys against everything that moves."
- Leave them to me.
During the 5th phase
- "Oh, phooey. Toxx has glitched again. If she keeps stomping around, she'll break everything on the ship! Deal with it, will you? I'm up to my ears in work."
- Do you know what happened?
- Will do.
- Do you know what happened?
- "Oh, I don't know. A short circuit. A faulty wire. A nonstandard fluctuating of metahypoflux goo. I can't focus on that right now. Please just take care of it."
- I'll see what I can do.
Princess Doll
During the 1st phase
- "Accuracy occasionally comes at a price. I've made the princess dolls too realistic, and now they're on the verge of throwing tantrums like spoiled brats."
- What can we do?
- Good-bye.
- What can we do?
- "I am terribly busy. You, on the other hand, could generously offer me assistance. Find the dolls the tributary treasure they're demanding, and they'll shut up. Eventually."
- Got it.
During the 2nd phase
- "What a mess! One of my assembly golems glitched and prematurely activated its sleep mode. Now there are unfinished princess dolls everywhere!."
- Unfinished how?
- That's unfortunate.
- Unfinished how?
- "They're missing their final-stage paint coat. Interestingly, the dolls seem to know it. Some are panicking, while others are hiding."
- Anything I can do?
- I see. Thanks.
- Anything I can do?
- "Fetch a plasma paint cannon and color the dolls. That will give me time to reprogram the sleeping golem."
- Sounds easy enough.
During the 3rd phase
- "Those pesky rodents have returned. Quickly, exterminate them all! Ah-the skritt, that is. Not the princess dolls."
- What do they want now?
- Happy to assist.
- What do they want now?
- "They're after that treasure you gave the princesses. The poor dolls don't stand a chance against incisors of that magnitude."
- I'm on it.

During the 4th phase
- "I beg you. Would you be so kind as to discourage the princesses from riding the "ponies"?"
- What do you mean "ponies"?
- "The princess dolls love to ride the Ventari toys, which they have deemed "ponies." Unfortunately, they tend to break them."
- Hmm, I'll think about it.
- "The princess dolls love to ride the Ventari toys, which they have deemed "ponies." Unfortunately, they tend to break them."
- Why do we need to prevent this?
- "Things have been escalating, resulting in a greater number of Ventari toys destroyed. This puts us even further behind schedule! We simply can't afford it."
- Aren't you asking us to break toys?
- All right.
- "Well, yes. But this will send a message to the princess dolls that we will not tolerate this behavior. It will hopefully help put a stop to the fighting."
- Okay.
- "Things have been escalating, resulting in a greater number of Ventari toys destroyed. This puts us even further behind schedule! We simply can't afford it."
- Will do.
- What do you mean "ponies"?
During the 5th phase
- "Glitch! I overcalibrated the charr toys' aggression gamut, and they're attacking the gift-giving apparatus. Its destruction would ruin Wintersday!"
- Could they really do that much damage?
- Got it.
- Could they really do that much damage?
- "Of course! My toys' advanced programming makes them capable of mischief. Or in this case, mayhem. They need to be dealt with, and fast!"
- Leave them to me.
During the 6th phase

During the 3rd phase
- "The erroneous behavior of the princess dolls continues to mystify me! See how they're chasing the plush griffons from their aerie? Hmm, they probably shouldn't be doing that."
- What should I do?
- I'll handle it.
- What should I do?
- "There's nothing to do but take their aerie back by force. Maybe the dolls will turn their attention elsewhere. I really should fix that design."
- You really should.
During the 4th phase

During the 5th phase
- "Ah, interesting! Observe the toy soldiers and their mortars. I expect this unintended hostility comes from protection protocols being too rigorous. See how they attack anything that moves?"
- Isn't that dangerous?
- Got it.
- Isn't that dangerous?
- "I suppose so. If I'm calculating correctly, those mortars could destroy the entire ship if left to their own devices."
- Leave them to me.

During the 7th phase
- "Hmm, there is an unusually large amount of roosting plush griffons around. Perhaps my design is not entirely sound. I wonder...maybe a few adjustments...perhaps I..."
- Shouldn't something be done?
- I'll leave you to it.
- Shouldn't something be done?
- "Oh? Oh, yes, probably. The plush griffons seem to be attracted to the nests. Destroy those, and the griffons shouldn't bother us anymore."
- Got it.
During the 8th phase

In Lion's Arch
When you receive your gift from Tixx
- "As a token of my appreciation for Tyria's generosity in showcasing my work and the assistance I've received from helpful citizens, I will provide every person who speaks to me with a special gift."
- I'd like one.
- No, thanks.
- I'd like one.
After you've received your gift from Tixx
- "Apologies, my festive friend. Only one gift disbursement per citizen. No exceptions! If you didn't have room to receive your gift, perhaps try checking that chest."
- Alright. Good-bye.
Quotes
In The Toymaker's Airship
- "This Wintersday will be full of wonder!"
- "Okay, who misplaced the mistletoe?"
- "Oh. Oh! Oh my! I'm not brainstorming. I'm having a brain hurricane!"
- "Cuckoo! Another outstanding toy idea just occurred to me!"
When you talk to him
- "Well, hello there!"
- "Clock's ticking. Not much time for talking."
- "You're a wacky little dolyak, aren't you."
- "'Tis a wound-up day, wouldn't you say?"
After You Defeat Toxx
- "And a this, and a that, and a tweak to the torque nodule. There. That ought to do it. All better."
- "Happy Wintersday to one and all! Now, get back to work!"
