Clockwork Chaos was a release launched on August 20, 2013. The release dealt with the events surrounding Queen Jennah's speech to the nation of Kryta, and Scarlet Briar's attacks across the world. This release included the first anniversary of Guild Wars 2.

The Queen's Speech release page is vandalized by unknown persons. Some players and fan sites receive a poem and a pocket watch in the mail.[1]

Scarlet has unleashed clockwork horrors upon Tyria! All zones not suited for character levels below 25 (except Orr and Southsun Cove) can have an invasion event that spawns waves of Twisted Watchworks for 45 minutes. Alongside the new minions, enemies from previous Living World releases can also spawn, such as the Molten Alliance and Aetherblades pirates. Players will need to destroy the clockwork creatures to weaken the portals. Successfully completing all three waves will cause Scarlet Briar to appear and fight.
