Super Adventure Box: Back to School is a release on September 3, 2013 for the first expansion of the Super Adventure Box, a special dungeon with pixelated graphics and a retro soundtrack harkening back to old school platformers. This release contains World 2, previously available only as a preview of the first zone. The expansion includes new Super weapon skins. The release also brings in ascended weapons, updates to legendary weapons, and changing the Magic Find mechanic to be account-wide. Like the first release, the Super Adventure Box was closed again on September 30th.

- Mini Moto and Mini Princess Miya, players collect Miya's clothes and combine it with Mini Moto in the Mystic Forge.
- Permanent features
- Magic Find is now account-wide[1][2][3]
- Weapons, armor and trinkets with magic find will become account bound, lose their current stats and will gain the ability to be double-clicked to select one of several stat options depending on the item.
- Explorer’s recipes will be replaced with the Assassin’s stat combo (Precision, Power, Critical Damage)
- Traveler’s drops will be replaced with the Dire Stat Combo (Condition Damage, Toughness, Vitality)
- Pillagers recipes will be replaced with the Hunter’s stat combo (Precision, Power)
- Players will salvage Essence of Luck from fine and masterwork gear and from Globs of Ectoplasm. Each Essence of Luck will contribute to your Luck Bar and each time the Luck Bar is filled it adds 1% overall magic find on all of your characters permanently, to a maximum of 300%. Players will start with enough luck to get to +20% magic find.
- Celestial stats will be unchanged, except without the current Magic Find bonus.
- There will be no changes to food that provides a bonus to Magic Find, guild buffs, or the Magical Infusion utility infusion.
- Any items currently listed on the Trading Post for magic find gear will be returned, since the items will become account bound. ArenaNet has not said whether the listing fees will be returned.
- Any others drops, crafting recipes, and upgrade components that include Magic Find will be updated with new functionality and/or stat combinations.
- Weapons, armor and trinkets with magic find will become account bound, lose their current stats and will gain the ability to be double-clicked to select one of several stat options depending on the item.
- Introduction of Ascended weapons and increased crafting level
- Weaponsmith, Artificer and Huntsman will be increased to 500, allowing those disciplines to craft ascended weapons.
- Discovery of exotic weapons will be reset to provide the bonus CXP for discovery to facilitate crafting past 400.
- Changes to legendary weapons
- Weapon strength will scale to match ascended weapons
- You will be able to change the prefix stats on the legendary while out of combat
- Legendaries will include an offensive infusion slot, to match that of ascended weapons.
- There will be cosmetic changes to specific legendaries.
- The confirmation for salvaging masterwork items will be removed.[4]
